Tax Accountant | Fort Worth 📍
We are hiring a Tax Accountant to own payroll tax and sales and use tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This role sits at the intersection of Payroll, HR, Accounting, and Operations and is central to keeping the organization compliant and well-positioned for continued growth.
What you will be responsible for:
- Managing payroll tax filings and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
- Preparing and submitting sales and use tax returns across multiple states and jurisdictions
- Monitoring regulatory changes and ensuring filing deadlines are met without exception
- Supporting audits and maintaining accurate, audit-ready documentation
- Identifying process improvements that increase accuracy and reduce compliance risk
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll tax and sales and use tax compliance
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-state and multi-jurisdiction filings
- Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant ERP or accounting systems
- Deadline-driven and detail-oriented
- Work both independently and cross-functionally
