About the Opportunity
Our client is a nationally recognized construction management and general contracting firm with a strong history of delivering high-quality projects across the United States. They specialize in commercial construction, including retail, restaurant, banking, education, hospitality, tenant improvement, and small ground-up projects.
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day jobsite activities and field operations throughout the construction process.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors to maintain productivity and project schedules.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, including master schedules and one-week and three-week look-ahead schedules.
- Coordinate and schedule material deliveries to support project milestones.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings and enforce all jobsite safety requirements.
- Address and report safety concerns, incidents, and corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation.
- Coordinate site logistics, inspections, subcontractor sequencing, and material management.
- Monitor and control jobsite general conditions costs, including equipment rentals, dumpsters, temporary facilities, and other site-related expenses.
- Deliver projects on time while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Superintendent or construction supervisory role.
- Proven experience managing commercial construction projects ranging from $1M to $10M.
- Experience in one or more of the following sectors:
- Retail
- Restaurant
- Banking
- Education
- Hospitality
- Office Tenant Improvement
- Small Ground-Up Construction
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling and project sequencing.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States.
