Superintendent – Commercial Construction (1099 Contract)
Location: Fort Stockton
Project Duration: 6 Months
Compensation: $10,000 per month (1099 Contractor)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee the repair and restoration of a recreation centre project located in Fort Stockton. This is a hands-on field leadership role for a superintendent who is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in managing commercial restoration and exterior systems work.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction scheduling, subcontractor coordination, documentation management, and communication with both ownership teams and the General Contractor.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day field operations for the recreation centre restoration project
- Coordinate subcontractors, manpower, and daily site activities
- Lead and manage the material submittal process for all construction materials
- Order and track project materials including:
- Stucco system products
- Veneer stone systems
- Paint and coatings
- Scaffolding
- Temporary fencing
- Other project-related materials and equipment
- Develop and maintain 3-week look-ahead schedules
- Ensure project milestones and deadlines are achieved
- Maintain clear communication with ownership representatives, project managers, and subcontractors
- Monitor quality control, site safety, and project documentation
- Conduct regular coordination meetings and site walkthroughs
- Assist with problem-solving and field decision-making throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent
- Experience with restoration, renovation, or exterior façade systems preferred
- Strong understanding of commercial construction sequencing and scheduling
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple trades and crews simultaneously
- Experience managing material procurement and submittals
- Comfortable working directly with owners and stakeholders
- Ability to read plans, specifications, and project schedules
- Proficiency with construction documentation and reporting
