Our client - a major, full-service commercial real estate organization with a strong New England presence - is looking to bring on a Development Associate to support a wide range of projects across the region.
About the Role
This position is ideal for someone who’s analytical, curious, and excited about the development process from the ground up. You’ll be supporting a seasoned development and project team that works across office, industrial, retail, biotech, and mixed-use assets throughout New England. The role blends financial work, research, coordination, and hands-on project involvement - making it a strong fit for someone who wants broad exposure and the chance to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with financial models, underwriting, and feasibility analyses for development and redevelopment opportunities.
- Conduct market research, site studies, demographic reviews, and comparable-property analysis to help guide project decisions.
- Support due diligence efforts for acquisitions, repositioning projects, and value-add initiatives.
- Work alongside teams in leasing, project management, valuation, and property/asset management to keep projects moving smoothly.
- Track project timelines, budgets, and documentation, ensuring accurate reporting for internal stakeholders and occasional client presentations.
- Help prepare pitch materials, reports, and presentation decks as projects evolve.
- Stay current on regional market trends in the New England office, industrial, biotech, and retail sectors.
What They’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Urban Planning, or similar discipline.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with financial modeling (Excel proficiency is key).
- A natural researcher - someone who enjoys digging into data, trends, and market dynamics.
- Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to create clean, professional deliverables.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple moving pieces at once.
- Someone who enjoys working collaboratively across teams but can also run with tasks independently.
- Familiarity with commercial real estate is helpful, especially in the New England market, but strong motivation and willingness to learn are equally valuable.
Why Apply?
- You’ll gain exposure to a full spectrum of real estate services, from development through leasing and asset management.
- The team is highly collaborative, and you’ll have direct contact with experienced professionals across multiple disciplines.
- You’ll work on diverse project types and get to see how strategy, analysis, and execution come together in real time.
- It’s a growth-minded environment where initiative and curiosity are genuinely valued.
