The practice includes complex property claims (hurricanes, windstorm, water, fire), CGL, builder’s risk, and related bad-faith and Civil Remedy Notice work. Key Duties:
- Analyze policies and draft detailed coverage opinions and reservation-of-rights letters
- Prosecute and defend declaratory judgment actions in Florida state and federal courts
- Advise carriers on first-party property claims, CGL exposures, bad-faith risks, and Civil Remedy Notices
- Handle mediations, appraisals, and related alternative dispute resolution
- Manage complex multi-party coverage litigation and strategic case development
Requirements:
- JD and active Florida bar (or ability to waive in)
- 3–8 years of strong insurance coverage experience, ideally with first-party property or complex commercial coverage exposure
- Excellent analytical and writing skills; comfort working independently if remote
