Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 100 international firm with Chambers ranked intellectual property and litigation practices seeking a 3rd to 5th year Intellectual Property Trademarks and Copyrights Associate to join its Atlanta, GA office.

This opportunity combines sophisticated trademark prosecution and enforcement work for major technology, life sciences, financial services, and consumer clients with meaningful ownership, direct partner access, and clear progression on a respected Am Law platform. You will develop a deep trademark practice within a collaborative, well resourced team that invests heavily in training, mentorship, diversity, and innovation.

The Role

• Lead and support trademark prosecution portfolios, including clearance, filing strategies, and ongoing portfolio management
• Work directly with technology, life sciences, financial services, and consumer clients on brand protection and enforcement strategies
• Draft and respond to office actions, pleadings, motions, and enforcement correspondence with close attention to technical detail
• Handle trademark litigation and enforcement matters, including infringement disputes, opposition and cancellation proceedings, and negotiations
• Collaborate closely with partners and cross office teams, taking substantive responsibility and visible client facing roles

Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking a 3rd to 5th year Intellectual Property Trademarks and Copyrights Associate with:

• 3 to 5 years of focused trademark experience, including both prosecution and litigation or enforcement work
• Strong grounding in trademark clearance, prosecution strategy, and enforcement for sophisticated corporate clients
• Admission to the Georgia Bar or eligibility to obtain Georgia admission promptly
• Excellent academic credentials from a law school typically ranked within the top 50
• Ability to work full time in the Atlanta office with high levels of interpersonal and client facing skill
