Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Tech / Handyman to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in skilled trades, vocational training, or secondary/trade school graduates who are enthusiastic about hands-on work. An entry level position will be considered for the right candidate. You will be responsible for performing a variety of property maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our properties. Must be flexible and willing to respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls on a rotating basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Carpentry: Perform basic woodwork repairs and installations, including doors, frames, and minor construction tasks.
- Plumbing: Handle minor plumbing repairs and maintenance, such as fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, and ensuring proper water flow. knowledge of heat & hot water boilers systems is a plus.
- Electrical: Conduct basic electrical repairs, including replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
- Painting: Perform interior and exterior painting, including surface preparation and touch-ups.
- General Property Maintenance: Use hand and power tools for tasks such as appliance installation, moving furniture, assembling equipment, and climbing ladders to access hard-to-reach areas.
- Snow Plowing: Operate agency maintenance vehicles to plow snow and ensure safe access during winter months.
- Vehicle Operation: Drive maintenance vehicles to various job sites as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience or education in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, or related fields (vocational or trade school graduates encouraged to apply).
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform manual labor.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work weekends as needed and be on-call for emergencies.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
