Location: Susanville, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends
Starting Pay: $25-$27 per hour

This role works closely with local businesses, schools, community organizations, and residents to promote sustainable waste practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver education and outreach programs for businesses, schools, multi‑family residences, and the general public.
- Conduct waste and recycling audits, respond to customer inquiries, and provide guidance on recycling procedures.
- Present to groups of various ages, including classroom presentations and guided facility tours.
- Plan, coordinate, and participate in community recycling events and public outreach activities.
- Work independently in the field to implement outreach initiatives and track progress.
- Support special sustainability projects and perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of local recycling systems, waste‑reduction practices, and environmental sustainability.
- Experience planning and implementing community events or educational programs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic graphics software (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable presenting to both small and large audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks, and adapt quickly to changing needs.
- Organized, self‑motivated, and able to work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand contracts, service agreements, and regulatory documents.
- Demonstrated experience completing projects independently from start to finish.
