Job Summary
The Human Resources Generalist - Recruiting Lead will support the Human Resources department by performing daily functions including recruiting, onboarding, workforce development and serve as a backup to benefits & leave, as well as enforcing company policies and practices.
Responsibilities
•Prepare job postings and place as needed
•Track and analyze recruiting and onboarding progress throughout the entire life cycle; communicate progress to department managers as needed
•Collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for open positions
•Coordinates new hire testing and training
•Conducts or acquires background checks and reference checks
•Facilitates effective communication between candidates/employees
•Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
•Maintain accurate and up to date personnel records and data entry in respective HR systems
•Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute HR programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits & leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance & talent management, productivity, recognition & morale, occupational health and safety and training & development
•Maintains compliance with federal, state & local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices
•Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in Recruiting, Human Resources, Talent Management and employment law.
•The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and the HR Generalist will be expected to execute different tasks as assigned to align with the overall business objectives of the company.
Skills and Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Five (5) years HR/Recruiting experience in the construction or manufacturing industries preferred
•Must be able to work independently or with a team; willingness to be flexible as needed
•Proficient in MS Office
•Proficient in UKG Ready preferred
•Consistent, reliable and punctual attendance
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
•Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills
