Budget and Fiscal Services (BFS) is responsible for the management of all agency financial activities including Accounting, Budgeting, Contractual Agreements, Financial Systems, Grants, and Payroll. The division consists of the Budget Section, the Accounting Section, the Financial Systems and Payroll Section, and the Contracting Section.
Duties
This position is responsible for preparing invoices, maintaining various accounts receivable spreadsheets, providing collection services and accounting entries necessary for returned checks, and completing specialized general ledger reconciliations. It is the subject matter expert for the development, training, and implementation of Workday in the unit. Completion of these activities ensures that monies are received promptly from the agency’s customers and that the agency’s accounts receivable are accurate.
Accounts Receivable is responsible for cash receipts, recording of seizure and unclaimed property deposits, accounts receivable collections, NSF check processing, requests for invoices, witness fee invoicing, and the tracking of Commercial Vehicle Penalties, towing reimbursements and vehicle restitution reimbursements.
Our new teammate will be able to:
- Complete reconciliation of general ledgers
- Responsible for maintaining the accounts receivable spreadsheets
- Reconciling monthly spreadsheets
- Analyzing data from spreadsheet to prepare monthly receivable reports
- Maintain agency logs
- Complete collection calls and letters
- Prepare write-off documentation
- Invoicing
- Act as SME in workday development
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic math and keyboarding skills
