THE SUCCESSFUL JANITOR
The successful Janitor at Wartech Engineering is dependable, self-motivated, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional workplace. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, works efficiently with minimal supervision, and understands the importance of cleanliness in a manufacturing environment. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality are essential for success in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal throughout the facility.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas.
- Maintain floors through mopping, buffing, waxing, and polishing as needed.
- Restock restroom and breakroom supplies.
- Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist with light facility maintenance and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals according to company procedures.
- Help maintain an organized, safe, and presentable facility for employees and visitors.
- Perform other housekeeping and facility support duties as assigned.
DESIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Hardworking, reliable, and dependable.
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals.
- Experience with floor care, including buffing, waxing, and polishing.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Basic facility maintenance experience is a plus.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or "U.S. Person" in accordance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
