What you’ll be doing
- Lead mine planning and design activities, delivering accurate short and long-term surface mine plans using CAD tools
- Oversee drill and blast design, optimising fragmentation, safety and production outcomes
- Conduct pit mapping, geotechnical monitoring and slope stability assessments to support safe operations
- Act as a technical point of contact on site, supporting production teams and stepping into supervisory duties when required
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in surface mining operations, with hands-on exposure to planning and drill & blast
- Strong understanding of pit design, geotechnical considerations and production optimisation
- Degree in mining engineering, geology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to influence site teams, with strong analytical thinking and confidence operating in demanding environments
