What you'll be doing
- Manage capital projects ranging from approximately $100K to $1.5M from concept through commissioning.
- Prepare project scopes, engineering specifications, cost estimates and capital requests.
- Review engineering designs, contractor proposals and equipment selections.
- Improve plant reliability through mechanical engineering and maintenance improvement initiatives.
- Support operations teams with equipment upgrades, root cause investigations and continuous improvement projects.
- Travel across multiple western operations, partnering closely with plant managers, maintenance teams and contractors.
What you'll bring
- Engineering degree with strong project and technical engineering capability
- Experience within heavy manufacturing, mining, minerals, cement or related process industries
- Ability to review engineering designs, specifications and contractor deliverables
- Strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative working style
