The ideal candidate has deep wireless/tower experience, strong rigging and climbing expertise, and prior leadership experience managing tower crews in the field.

About The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Tower Foreman to lead wireless field crews in the installation, maintenance, upgrade, and modification of wireless communication infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for safely executing tower and site work while mentoring technicians and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and to quality standards.
The ideal candidate has deep wireless/tower experience, strong rigging and climbing expertise, and prior leadership experience managing tower crews in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor tower crews of up to 6 technicians on wireless construction and maintenance projects
- Execute tower erection, modifications, antenna and line installations, microwave dish installs, and network upgrades
- Safely perform climbing and elevated work on structures 300 feet
- Read and interpret construction drawings, RF data sheets, structural analyses, and tower modification drawings
- Develop and execute rigging plans for hoisting operations
- Operate RF sweep, PIM, and fiber testing equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment/network issues in the field
- Conduct site audits, tower mappings, structural inspections, and maintenance inspections
- Manage material inventory, labor tracking, and job cost documentation
- Coordinate labor, materials, and field scheduling with management
- Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within scope
- Obtain customer approvals for change orders when required
- Provide ongoing feedback regarding team performance and development
- 5 years of wireless/tower industry experience
- 4 years of hands-on experience with tower builds, antenna/cabling installs, microwave dishes, lighting systems, and site inspections
- Prior experience leading tower crews/field teams
- Strong knowledge of wireless construction methods and tower modifications
- Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering documentation
- Experience with RF sweep gear, PIM testing, and fiber testing
- Ability to create and execute tower rigging plans
- Strong troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
- Valid Driver's License
- OSHA 30 Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Authorized/Competent Climber Certification
- Authorized/Competent Rescuer Certification
- ANSI A10.48 Rigging Certification
- RF Awareness Certification
- First Aid / CPR Certification
- Ability to climb structures 300 feet regularly
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying/extreme weather conditions
- Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays
