We are seeking a talented Professional Land Surveyor to join our Survey Team. The ideal candidate will manage and direct both office and field staff while contributing hands-on expertise in surveying projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, construction, and specialty surveys.
- Serve as the signing and sealing Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) for survey deliverables in compliance with Georgia Minimum Technical Standards (MTS).
- Participate hands-on when needed, including field checks, complex boundary analysis, QA reviews, and client meetings.
- Mentor and guide survey technicians, crew chiefs, and junior staff to build a strong collaborative team.
- Coordinate directly with clients, engineers, contractors, and local officials.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and priorities with a practical, small-firm mindset.
- Help shape internal processes, technology adoption, and long-term growth strategies.
- Support business development by building relationships and representing the firm professionally.
- Active Georgia PLS license.
- Minimum of 5 years of land surveying experience with increasing responsibility.
- Strong boundary analysis skills and deep knowledge of Georgia MTS.
- Ability to lead while remaining hands-on; comfortable coaching and performing technical work.
- Proficiency with GPS, robotic total stations, data collectors, and CAD platforms.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset.
