Senior Inspector / CMM Programmer/Metrologist

This role is ideal for a hands-on metrology professional with strong experience in precision dimensional inspection, CMM programming, and GD&T interpretation. The selected candidate will perform complex inspections, program CMM equipment, and help ensure compliance with quality standards while mentoring junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspections using touch probe and optical CMMs, comparators, and precision hand tools
- Program and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS software
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), Gage R&R studies, and capability analysis
- Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and ISO standards
- Maintain accurate inspection documentation and calibration records
- Perform source inspections and occasional on-site inspections when required
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and laboratory quality standards
- Maintain an organized and efficient metrology lab environment
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior inspection staff
- U.S. Citizenship required
- 5 years of experience in dimensional inspection and manufacturing environments (machining, molding, assembly, etc.)
- Strong experience with CMM programming and operation
- 5 years of experience with PC-DMIS software
- Advanced knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and engineering drawing interpretation
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Experience with metrology systems such as:
- Hexagon PC-DMIS
- Zeiss Calypso
- OGP Zone3
- MeasureMind
- SmartProfile
- Familiarity with SolidWorks
- Experience working in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or Automotive Manufacturing, medical device manufacturing
