- Lead electrical design efforts for projects of moderate to high complexity
- Develop electrical system designs including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems
- Oversee the preparation of schematic designs, design development documents, construction documents, and construction administration deliverables
- Evaluate existing building systems and provide recommendations for upgrades, maintenance, energy savings, or rebate opportunities
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and construction partners to meet project schedules
- Conduct site visits, facility assessments, engineering studies, and commissioning activities
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and client-facing documentation
- Serve as Project Manager on electrical-focused projects as needed
- Mentor electrical designers and engineers through coaching and technical guidance
- Review and provide feedback on design documents to support team development
- Share lessons learned and best practices to drive continuous improvement
- Assist with project scheduling, workload planning, and prioritization
- Perform quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Act as a technical subject matter expert to resolve design and construction issues
- Contribute to the development and improvement of internal standards and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain licensure within one year
- Approximately 10 years of experience in the AEC industry preferred
- Proven experience leading electrical design efforts and mentoring junior staff
- Proficiency with Revit and 3D design coordination tools preferred
- Strong working knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting technologies, lighting controls, and fire alarm systems
- Solid understanding of applicable codes, standards, and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
