We are a global law firm that provides services to clients across its core sectors of insurance, transportation, energy, infrastructure, and trade & commodities. We are seeking a Senior Counsel with 8 years of insurance coverage experience to join our rapidly growing Seattle office. This practice represents domestic insurers with regard to coverage advice and litigation involving commercial general liability and excess policies.

The salary range for this position is $200,000 - $235,000. Compensation decisions consider a variety of factors, including experience, skill set, training, licensure, and business needs. Typically, candidates are not hired at the top of the range. This description may be adjusted as business needs evolve.
What You'll Do
- Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide coverage advice to clients.
- Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda.
- Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence related to insurance coverage litigation.
- Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
- Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
- Take a proactive role in managing matters, deadlines, and client communications.
- Is admitted to practice law in Washington (multiple admissions are a plus).
- Has strong experience in insurance coverage and coverage litigation.
- Possesses excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrates strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Can handle sensitive and time-critical matters effectively.
- Has strong problem-solving skills.
- Can manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
