Litigation Counsel (Insurance and Commercial) - Seattle

Direct Counsel represents a well-regarded national law firm seeking a senior Litigation Counsel to join its Seattle office. This is a high-impact role for an experienced litigator who can independently manage complex matters and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.

The position offers the opportunity to lead sophisticated insurance coverage and bad faith disputes, alongside complex commercial litigation, in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead complex litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Handle insurance coverage and bad faith disputes, along with commercial litigation cases
• Conduct depositions, argue motions, and represent clients in court
• Develop case strategy and provide practical, business-oriented advice
• Serve as a hands-on leader, managing cases and mentoring junior team members

What We’re Looking For:

• 8–12 years of litigation experience
• Strong background in insurance coverage/bad faith and complex commercial litigation preferred
• Significant deposition, oral argument, and trial experience
• Ability to independently run cases with minimal oversight
• Experience in federal and state courts
• Some portable business is a plus, but not required
• Experience at a large or boutique law firm preferred
• J.D. and active Washington Bar admission required (Oregon Bar a plus)
