Litigation Counsel (8–12 Years) – Insurance Coverage & Commercial Litigation (Seattle)
Direct Counsel represents a well-regarded national law firm seeking a senior Litigation Counsel to join its Seattle office. This is a high-impact role for an experienced litigator who can independently manage complex matters and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.
The position offers the opportunity to lead sophisticated insurance coverage and bad faith disputes, alongside complex commercial litigation, in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead complex litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Handle insurance coverage and bad faith disputes, along with commercial litigation cases
- Conduct depositions, argue motions, and represent clients in court
- Develop case strategy and provide practical, business-oriented advice
- Serve as a hands-on leader, managing cases and mentoring junior team members
What We’re Looking For:
- 8–12 years of litigation experience
- Strong background in insurance coverage/bad faith and complex commercial litigation preferred
- Significant deposition, oral argument, and trial experience
- Ability to independently run cases with minimal oversight
- Experience in federal and state courts
- Some portable business is a plus, but not required
- Experience at a large or boutique law firm preferred
- J.D. and active Washington Bar admission required (Oregon Bar a plus)
