- Perform comprehensive retina patient workups
- Obtain patient histories and visual assessments
- Perform OCT, fundus photography, and retinal imaging
- Assist physicians with intravitreal injection procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations and in-office procedures
- Document physician encounters within the EMR while providing scribing support
- Educate patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care
- Rotate between screening, imaging, scribing, and injection clinic responsibilities
- Help maintain efficient patient flow in a busy retina practice
Required
- Current Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT), Certified Retina Technician (CRT), or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT)
- Strong retina experience required
- Experience with:
- OCT
- Fundus Photography
- Retina patient workups
- Injection assistance
- EMR documentation
- Medical scribing
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Approximately 5 years of retina experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred (strong experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
- Physician-owned practice
