Senior Attorney - Family Law

Responsibilities

• Handle a caseload of approximately 20 - 40 family law cases, including divorce, custody, and support matters.
• Manage cases with varying levels of guidance depending on experience, from junior associates to senior positions.
• Prepare and draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, discovery responses, settlement agreements, and divorce decrees.
• Lead and manage complex divorce trials, custody disputes, and high-stakes family law matters.
• Maintain strong communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Mentor and supervise junior associates and paralegals (for Senior Associate/Partner level).
• Contribute to the growth of the firm by maintaining client relationships and developing new business.
• Participate in strategic case planning and provide insight into client needs and legal strategy.
  
  

Qualifications

• For Senior Attorney (7 years of experience):
• Must have significant trial experience and the ability to independently handle divorce trials.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior attorneys and paralegals.
• At least 7 years of experience in family law and the ability to handle complex family law matters.
• Experience with business development and client retention is a plus.
• Family law judicial clerkship experience is preferred but not required.
