Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Safety Manager to lead and oversee field safety programs across multiple commercial concrete job sites. This role is responsible for driving safety excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture where safety is a shared responsibility across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site walks, field audits, and safety inspections across active projects
- Develop, implement, and enforce company safety policies and procedures
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations (including OSHA)
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OSHA standards and industry best practices
- Execute and monitor site-specific safety plans
- Lead accident and incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and risk assessments
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for field teams
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to promote a proactive safety culture
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of safety metrics
- 10 years of continuous construction safety experience
- Extensive experience in commercial construction (concrete experience strongly preferred)
- OSHA 500 Certification required
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
- Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) certification preferred
- Strong understanding of construction practices, building codes, and industry standards
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to hold teams accountable
- Spanish bilingual required
