Responsibilities
- Research and assess prospective equipment and tooling suppliers, negotiate and secure high-quality solutions with favorable cost and delivery terms.
- Develop detailed ROI analyses to determine the financial viability and benefits of proposed investments in manufacturing technologies.
- Collaborate with design, process, quality, and maintenance teams to coordinate all phases of project execution, following qualification protocols from initiation through full validation.
- Maintain effective partnerships with vendors while directing the design, fabrication, and customization of production equipment and tooling.
- Ensure all manufacturing improvements meet applicable quality, regulatory, and customer standards, as well as project timelines and budget allocations.
- Offer technical input to design engineers to enhance component manufacturability and cost efficiency.
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing methods such as wire drawing, strip rolling, stamping, machining, and plastic injection molding.
- Familiarity with quality assurance standards and compliance requirements in industries such as medical devices and automotive manufacturing.
- Strong communication abilities and proficiency in problem-solving and project management.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Materials Science (metallurgy).
- At least 5 years of experience working in a production manufacturing environment.
- Previous work as a Metallurgy Manufacturing Engineer is highly advantageous.
- Ability to remain in a seated or standing position for extended periods.
- Capable of occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds.
- Must be able to move through and access all operational departments within the facility.
