Production Manager

Position Summary

Seeking a highly organized Food Production Manager to lead baked goods production with consistency and quality. This role requires strong management skills, reliability, and collaboration. Must ensure food and warehouse safety while fostering unity and accountability among the team. Success in this role demands strategic thinking, adaptability, and effective management of food movement to maintain preservation and quality control.

Position Responsibilities

• Ensure the production of a high volume of different types of bread, in accordance with program guidelines.
• Make decisions and substitutions based on quality control or operational situations.
• Maintain a safe and orderly working environment, free of slip/trip hazards; ensure compliance with all site and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a culture champion and support/mentor team leaders.
• Deliver cost and performance goals; complete projects and assignments on time and according to plan.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, regulatory, and quality guidelines.

• Develop procedures, protocols, and standardized work processes.
• Provide training to develop and grow direct reports.

• Foster a positive and engaging workplace culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  

Position Qualifications

• Demonstrate strategic collaboration with other departments.
• Clear understanding of P&L impact.
• Ability to lead a team while fostering a culture of inclusion and accountability.
• Minimum of five years of experience in food manufacturing, high-volume production, handling, storage, and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment with reliability and responsiveness.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to hold teams accountable to KPIs.
• Strong planning skills with the ability to organize tasks days and weeks in advance and communicate effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and train others.
• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish and English).
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills for both production and employee management.
