Overview
An established manufacturing company is seeking a results-driven Engineer to support ongoing product and process innovation efforts. This role offers the opportunity to influence new developments, optimize operations, and work cross-functionally within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in the development of new products and enhancements to existing ones by coordinating with suppliers, analyzing material specifications, and identifying suitable alternatives.
• Plan and execute raw material trials, interpret statistical data, and help expand product offerings into new markets.
• Drive improvements in production processes with a focus on cost reduction, increased efficiency, and waste minimization.
• Independently manage quality system initiatives, including internal audits, corrective actions, and participation in regular management reviews.
• Develop technical documentation such as reports, proposals, and summaries.
• Recommend changes to manufacturing methods, workflow, or equipment layout for process optimization.
• Interpret and generate technical drawings and schematics.
• Establish quality benchmarks and reliability metrics for products and processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues using data-driven analysis and propose actionable solutions.
• Stay informed and compliant with relevant industry standards, including ASTM and ISO.
• Create protocols for laboratory and pilot-scale testing.
• Offer technical guidance to internal teams and customers as needed.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of working well both independently and within a team.

Essential Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication for interacting with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Ability to function effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Solid understanding of technical systems and industrial equipment.
• Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret complex data sets and experimental results.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical tools like Minitab.
• High level of attention to detail and thorough documentation habits.

Working Conditions

• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work may be conducted in both indoor and outdoor settings with varied noise levels.
• This position requires physical activities such as standing for extended periods, bending, climbing, and twisting.
