Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pipe Layer with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in underground utility work. The ideal candidate can safely and efficiently install, repair, and maintain piping systems (storm, sanitary, water) while working closely with equipment operators and crews to meet production and quality standards.

We are seeking an experienced Pipe Layer with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in underground utility work. The ideal candidate can safely and efficiently install, repair, and maintain piping systems (storm, sanitary, water) while working closely with equipment operators and crews to meet production and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lay, align, and grade pipe for storm drains, sanitary sewer, and water lines
- Set up and work inside trenches, including shoring/sloping as required
- Read and work from plans, grades, stakes, and laser levels
- Install and connect pipe sections, fittings, valves, manholes, and structures
- Assist with backfilling, compaction, and site restoration
- Perform basic pipe testing and ensure work meets specs (line/grade, slope, joints)
- Identify and avoid underground utilities; follow utility marking requirements
- Maintain tools and equipment; keep jobsite clean and organized
- Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and trench safety standards
- Communicate with foreman/superintendent on progress, materials, and issues
- Minimum 3 years of pipe laying experience (underground utilities preferred)
- Strong knowledge of pipe types (PVC, HDPE, ductile iron, RCP, etc.)
- Ability to interpret blueprints and cut sheets
- Experience using levels/laser, measuring tools, and hand/power tools
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb in/out of trenches, and perform physical labor
- Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus)
- OSHA 10/30 (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with confined space procedures (if applicable)
- Familiarity with local utility codes/standards
- Experience working around heavy equipment (excavators, loaders)
- Outdoor construction sites; heavy physical work required
- May include early mornings, overtime, and occasional weekends based on project needs
- Pay: $ 30 to $ 40 per hour (based on experience)
