We are working with a well-established litigation firm in Southern Minnesota to help identify a passionate and motivated Paralegal/Legal Assistant with a strong interest in family law. As a Paralegal/Legal Assistant, you'll be the backbone of their family law practice ensuring attorneys are organized, deadlines are met, and clients feel supported.

- Deliver professional, friendly service to clients and colleagues.
- Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial materials.
- Manage attorney calendars and schedule court appearances, mediations, ENEs/SENEs, and depositions.
- Perform conflict checks and maintain accurate case files.
- Handle e-filing with Minnesota courts and monitor deadlines.
- Coordinate communication between attorneys, clients, and court officials.
- Conduct legal research and assist with trial prep.
- Uphold confidentiality and firm standards.
- 4 years of legal assistant or secretary experience (family law preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's/Bachelor's degree a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Professional, respectful, and collaborative attitude
- Familiarity with Minnesota e-filing systems and legal procedures
- Reliable commute or relocation to Mankato, MN
- Legal Paralegal certification
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys
- Knowledge of dictation and transcription tools
