Role Description
- This is a full-time, on-site Mechanic role based in Stanhope, NJ. There is some travel.
- The Mechanic will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on robotic demolition machines, attachments, and related heavy equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
- Daily responsibilities include inspecting equipment, identifying mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and completing required service documentation.
- The role will involve assembling and commissioning new machines, testing equipment performance, and supporting upgrades or modifications as needed.
- The Mechanic will collaborate with the service and engineering teams, provide technical feedback, and occasionally support customer training or field service visits. Assist in warehouse and parts inventory and distribution.
- Strong hands-on experience in Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair of heavy or industrial equipment.
- Proficiency working with Heavy Equipment, including hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical assemblies.
- Demonstrated Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
- Relevant technical training or certification in diesel, industrial, or construction equipment; vocational or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Basic computer skills for service reporting, parts look-up, and communication with internal teams.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
- Capacity to lift and move equipment components as required and work in an industrial shop environment.
- Previous experience with remote-controlled or robotic equipment, demolition, mining, or construction machinery is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally for training or field service, as needed.
Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
