Master Plumber & Master Electrician

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Master Plumber & Master Electrician to join our growing team. This dual-role position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of commercial plumbing and electrical systems while ensuring full compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong troubleshooting abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing and electrical systems in accordance with local, state, and federal codes.
  • Inspect plumbing and electrical systems, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex plumbing and electrical problems efficiently and accurately.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with engineers, estimators, project managers, and field personnel to successfully execute projects.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train apprentices while promoting safe work practices and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Utilize a variety of plumbing and electrical tools, equipment, and testing devices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate project updates to stakeholders as needed.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and code updates to provide innovative and efficient solutions.
  • Participate in occasional after-hours, weekend, and emergency service calls as required.

Qualifications

Required

  • Active Master Plumber License in the State of Maine.
  • Active Master Electrician License in the State of Maine.
  • Proven experience performing commercial plumbing and electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, electrical systems, piping, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred

  • Additional licensing or certifications in New Hampshire (NH) and/or Massachusetts (MA).
  • Experience leading crews, supervising apprentices, and managing job-site activities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working on ladders, in confined spaces, crawlspaces, basements, rooftops, and outdoor environments.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $50,000 - $140,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)

Work Location

This is an on-site position requiring travel to customer and project locations as needed.
