The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting and improving manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role partners closely with production, engineering, and operations teams to implement new products, optimize workflows, and resolve technical challenges on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize day-to-day manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost
- Provide hands-on technical support to production teams, including troubleshooting equipment and process issues
- Lead new product introductions from design through full-scale production
- Develop and improve jigs, fixtures, and tooling to support manufacturing operations
- Create, update, and maintain SOPs and in-process routings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure manufacturing processes align with engineering specifications and quality standards
- Utilize CAD, ERP, and reporting tools to support production planning and execution
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and mechanical engineering principles
- Experience supporting production environments and resolving equipment or process failures
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to translate designs into manufacturable processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering preferred
