This role is responsible for ensuring optimal performance and safety of production equipment while driving preventive maintenance, process improvements, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee installation, repair, and maintenance operations across production equipment and facilities.
- Ensure machinery meets performance, safety, and regulatory standards through preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve maintenance procedures and best practices.
- Plan and assign repair schedules; review and validate cost estimates and timelines.
- Conduct regular facility and equipment inspections to detect and resolve issues proactively.
- Manage the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program and drive reliability-centered improvements.
- Track departmental expenses, budgeting, and cost control.
- Maintain accurate documentation: maintenance logs, progress reports, and inventory records.
- Oversee equipment inventory; source parts and manage vendor relationships.
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Champion a culture of safety: train teams, enforce policies, and monitor compliance.
- Develop strategies to increase equipment reliability and overall operational efficiency.
- Coach and mentor maintenance team leads to enhance skills and performance.
- High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
- 5 years as a maintenance manager in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise with PLC and servo systems; solid grounding in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with liquid filling equipment; personal care industry experience is a plus.
- Proven success implementing maintenance best practices and standardized processes.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills for planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Budget development, tracking, and cost control.
- Team leadership, supervision, and performance management.
- Process improvement, risk management, and reliability-focused thinking.
- Analytical problem solving and critical thinking.
