About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic / Maintenance Technician to support operations within our manufacturing facility in Brazil, Indiana. This hands-on role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving industrial production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

The ideal candidate will bring strong industrial maintenance experience, mechanical troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on:
• Production equipment
• Mechanical systems
• Pneumatic systems
• Utilities and facility systems
• Troubleshoot and repair:
• Motors
• Pumps
• Blowers
• Mills
• Rotating equipment
• Pneumatic machinery
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions to minimize downtime
• Diagnose equipment failures and determine root causes
  

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

• Execute scheduled maintenance activities including:
• Inspections
• Lubrication
• Cleaning
• Calibration
• Filter replacement
• Equipment adjustments
• Conduct daily inspections of utility systems such as:
• Boilers
• Chillers
• Air compressors
• Pumps
• RO (Reverse Osmosis) units
• Maintain maintenance logs and complete assigned work orders accurately
  

Troubleshooting & Diagnostics

• Use diagnostic and testing equipment to evaluate machinery performance, including:
• Multimeters
• Gauges
• Dial indicators
• Calipers
• Vibration analyzers
• Identify and resolve mechanical and pneumatic issues efficiently
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
  

Installation & Project Support

• Assist with:
• New equipment installations
• Production line setups
• Equipment upgrades
• Capital improvement projects
• Support fabrication and modification work using:
• Welders
• Grinders
• Saws
• Drill presses
• Other shop tools
  

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all plant safety procedures and company policies
• Properly use required PPE at all times
• Adhere to:
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Safe work practices
• Maintenance safety standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and work area

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience required
