Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Winthrop, ME office. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, prepare a variety of income tax returns, handle tax projections, research and resolve tax-related issues, prepare financial statements, and provide excellent client service. This is an in-person position requiring strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other various tax returns.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Prepare business and individual tax projections.
• Research, evaluate, and resolve tax issues.
• Prepare and review financial statements.
• Assist junior staff with tax and accounting-related questions.
• Collaborate with other departments and offices during the off-season.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and high-quality client service.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of public accounting experience focused on tax preparation.
• CPA preferred; candidates actively pursuing CPA licensure are encouraged to apply.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Minimal travel may be required for local client visits and support to nearby offices.
