Collaborate closely with the lead technician throughout the build and debug phases to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery. Utilize expertise in debugging practices to support startup and commissioning processes. Oversee field installation, equipment setup, and machine startup at customer sites, ensuring all equipment meets contractual specifications.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in the build, debug, and commissioning processes, ensuring all project milestones are met with top quality.
- Perform field installation and setup of equipment at customer facilities, including reassembly and powering on machinery.
- Debug and troubleshoot equipment to achieve full operational status per customer requirements.
- Participate in project kickoff and weekly status meetings, documenting key information and providing progress updates.
- Manage testing, run-off documentation, and ensure adherence to customer specifications and cycle time targets.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to resolve issues and communicate resource needs.
- Track assembly hours and provide accurate work estimates during project progress reviews.
- Coordinate with expeditors to address material shortages and align deliveries with project timelines.
- Supervise assembly personnel, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and proper assembly procedures.
- Forecast manpower requirements and prioritize remaining work to maintain project efficiency.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer navigation and multitasking in a dynamic environment.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Self-motivated with a flexible and adaptable work approach.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly with demonstrated field experience.
- Preferred: 2-4 years technical degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
