The HVAC Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of 50-75 customers while delivering a high-quality, day-to-day customer service experience. This role combines account management, sales, project coordination, and margin accountability across HVAC service, repair, replacement, and preventative maintenance agreements.
The Account Manager will be based out of the Cary office and must be available to travel to the Morehead City and Greensboro offices as required for job walks, quoting, and project management of awarded work.

- Commission Potential: $20,000-$80,000 (based on service, repair, replacement, and preventative maintenance sales)

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of 50-75 active customers, serving as the primary point of contact
- Deliver exceptional day-to-day customer service and relationship management
- Prepare and present quotes for HVAC service, repair, and replacement projects
- Coordinate and assist with scheduling HVAC service work
- Manage awarded jobs from sale through completion, ensuring scope, timeline, and budget adherence
- Conduct job walks for quoted and sold projects as required
- Order HVAC equipment, materials, and parts necessary for awarded work
- Actively identify and pursue opportunities to sell preventative maintenance (PM) agreements to new and existing customers
- Grow customer base year over year through relationship development and upselling
- Ensure overall average profit margins of 30% or higher across managed accounts
- Collaborate with operations, service, and leadership teams to ensure successful project execution
- Travel as needed to Morehead City and Greensboro offices to support quoting and project management activities
- Experience in HVAC service, repair, and replacement sales or account management
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, service workflows, and equipment
- Proven ability to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously
- Demonstrated success in sales, quoting, and margin accountability
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills
- Ability to travel between company offices as required
- Proficiency with estimating, CRM, and scheduling systems (preferred)
