Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
Conduct field service visits to residential, commercial, or industrial sites to perform routine maintenance or urgent repairs.
Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as pipe fitting, drainage troubleshooting, and water supply management.
Utilize specialized tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for system repairs or modifications.
Diagnose mechanical problems using mechanical knowledge combined with diagnostic tools; repair or replace defective components efficiently.
Ensure compliance with safety standards including ammonia refrigeration protocols and proper handling of refrigerants.
Maintain detailed service records, update maintenance logs, and communicate findings clearly to clients or team members.
Support property maintenance initiatives by ensuring HVAC systems operate reliably and efficiently year-round.
Skills
Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) environments with a strong mechanical aptitude.
Construction knowledge for installing new systems or upgrading existing infrastructure effectively.
Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design principles for accurate troubleshooting and installation.
Hands-on experience with plumbing systems related to heating and cooling units; knowledge of appliance repair is a plus.
Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices confidently.
Mechanical skills including welding, equipment repair, boiler maintenance, and general property upkeep.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate drivers' vehicles safely across various sites.
Strong field service skills with the ability to manage multiple service calls efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
