Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems (heating, cooling, air quality)
- Service commercial refrigeration and kitchen equipment — a major local advantage few competitors offer
- Perform installations, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs with same-day response when needed
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances when they overlap with HVAC/refrigeration calls
- Communicate clearly with customers, delivering white-glove service that builds lifelong loyalty
- Keep accurate service records and recommend system upgrades that genuinely improve comfort and efficiency
- Mentor newer techs and contribute to continuous process improvements as we scale
- Operate company vehicles safely and maintain professional appearance and tools
- Participate in ongoing manufacturer training and certifications
- Work independently in the field while staying connected to a supportive shop team
Qualifications & Requirements
- 2 years proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician (residential and/or commercial)
- EPA 608 Certification (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Valid Missouri driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in varied conditions (attics, crawl spaces, rooftops)
- Excellent customer service mindset — you’re the face of Benitz
- Nice-to-haves: NATE certification, refrigeration experience, commercial kitchen background, or leadership potential
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
