The Lead AV Tech/Commissioner

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and prioritize daily project-related activities and field operations
- Supervise, mentor, and support field technicians during the installation and commissioning of AV systems
- Collaborate closely with the Installation Manager and Project Engineer to understand project scope, address site challenges, and ensure successful project execution
- Ensure all installations comply with project specifications, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Configure and program control systems, DSPs, audio mixers, and other specialized AV equipment as required by system design
- Install, integrate, and maintain AV/IT systems including racks, displays, projectors, cameras, VTC systems, microphones, and speakers
- Perform system commissioning activities including testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and quality assurance verification
- Diagnose and resolve technical and performance issues related to AV/IT system configurations
- Provide end-user training and operational documentation upon project completion
- Maintain accurate redline documentation and system configuration records for final customer deliverables
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with experience managing teams of five or more technicians
- 10 years of experience in AV installation and construction methodologies
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in AV commissioning and system testing
- Strong knowledge of AV signal processing, networking, and control system programming
- CTS, CTS-I, or equivalent industry certification preferred
- Extensive experience with DSPs, control systems, and network-based audio/video distribution technologies
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage customer expectations effectively
