Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Roofing Estimator to manage the full estimating process for commercial roofing projects, primarily public sector work such as schools, municipalities, government agencies, and other publicly bid projects across Ohio and nearby areas.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience preparing accurate estimates, reviewing construction drawings, coordinating vendor pricing, and submitting competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
- Prepare detailed material, labor, and cost estimates.
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for roofing projects.
- Request and compare pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and visit job sites when needed.
- Prepare and submit public bid proposals before deadlines.
- Submit RFIs (Requests for Information) and review project addendums.
- Maintain updated material pricing and estimating databases.
- Coordinate with roofing manufacturers regarding products and systems.
- Work closely with the project management team to ensure a smooth handoff after project award.
- Assist with value engineering, project planning, and submittals as needed.
- Help improve estimating processes and overall cost accuracy.
- 5 years of experience estimating commercial roofing projects.
- Experience with public works or government-funded projects.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including:
- TPO
- PVC
- EPDM
- Modified Bitumen
- Roof Coatings
- Sheet Metal Roofing
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Microsoft Excel, and estimating software.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites throughout Ohio.
