Estimator & Project Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator / Project Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a professional who can balance cost estimation, project coordination, and technical support while collaborating effectively with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Estimation:

• Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction and engineering projects
• Review project specifications, drawings, and documentation to determine material, labor, and time requirements
• Identify potential cost risks and recommend value-engineering solutions
  
  

Project Coordination & Management

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking project timelines and milestones
• Monitor project progress and proactively address issues to keep projects on schedule
• Support project managers in day-to-day execution and reporting
  
  

Engineering Support

• Provide technical input and support during project planning and execution
• Assist in developing and reviewing engineering designs and solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met
  
  

Client & Vendor Communication

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors
• Communicate project updates, timelines, and changes clearly and professionally
• Coordinate with external partners to ensure smooth project execution.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in estimating, project engineering, or a related role
• Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry practices
• Familiarity with construction and engineering practices in Hawaii is a plus
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
