We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator and Project Manager to join our dynamic team. We are a specialty contractor primarily focused on public works, with 90% of our business dedicated to traffic signal and street lighting maintenance, repair, and construction, and the remaining 10% focused on municipal building work.
This dual-role position is responsible for accurately estimating electrical projects and managing them from inception through completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, project budgeting, construction processes, and the ability to lead and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed and competitive electrical estimates.
- Conduct site visits as necessary to understand project scope and constraints.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor work.
- Solicit and evaluate bids from vendors and subcontractors.
- Prepare and submit bid packages and RFP responses within deadlines.
- Project Management:
- Oversee all phases of electrical construction projects from planning to close-out.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Monitor project progress, manage changes, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and close-out packages.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, safety standards, and regulations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrical estimator and/or project manager in the commercial construction industry. Public works experience required.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Strong understanding of NEC codes and local building regulations.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician (optional but preferred).
- Traffic signal and streetlight experience preferred.
Salary : $110,000 - $150,000
