The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines, interpreting complex engineering drawings, and ensuring high-quality production through accurate measurements and machine adjustments.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T callouts, and work orders.
- Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Make machine offset adjustments and minor program edits to maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials for efficient machining operations.
- Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues and communicate effectively with supervisors and engineering teams.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Accurately document production activities, inspections, and completed work.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to machining efficiency and quality.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of hands-on CNC machining experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or job-shop environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating:
- CNC Milling Machines
- CNC Lathe Machines
- CNC Multi-Axis Machines
- Strong proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Working knowledge of G-code and M-code programming with the ability to make program adjustments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical training or CNC machining certification preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Manual dexterity to operate machinery, hand tools, and machine controls.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machine noise, metal shavings, lubricants, and moving equipment.
