- Transition prototype and pilot demonstrations to manufacturing
- Manage process documentation including PFD's, P&ID's, automation wiring diagrams, and bills of materials
- Develop operating procedures for new systems and training operators on new processes and systems
- Conduct and document process hazard analyses and design for process safety
- Interface with vendors and fabricators for material, component, and equipment acquisition
- Assembling, commissioning, and operating prototypes and production hardware, including training and supervising technicians
- Documenting work, reporting on task progress and communicating results internally and to clients
- BS in Chemical Engineering with strong academic performance
- Practical experience in chemical process design and optimization (prefer at least 3 years after BS)
- Hands-on experience in a process development and/or production environment is highly desired
- Prior experience with instrumentation and automation is a plus
- Sound fundamentals in engineering design and application of PSM and RAGAGEP principles
- Familiarity with design documentation standards for P&IDs
- Familiarity with chemical process safety including hazard identification and risk assessment
- Comfortable with basic chemical handling practices in a laboratory environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and must be able to pass a background check
