Role Description
General Accounting & Financial Reporting
Assist with maintaining the general ledger, journal entries, and supporting schedules
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Ensure accuracy of financial statements, including revenue from daily club operations
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, and daily cash activity
Assist with preparation of financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
Maintain and reconcile the daily balance of accounts receivable, ensuring accurate posting of member charges and payments
Monitor accounts receivable activity and assist with member billing and payment reconciliations
Oversee accounts payable processes to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments
Supervise the Accounting Assistant responsible for day-to-day A/P processing
Review vendor invoices and payment runs as needed
Experience with Beanworks AP automation or similar accounts payable systems is preferred
Payroll & Employee Records
Process biweekly payroll and perform payroll reconciliations
Ensure payroll taxes and deductions are properly recorded
Process employee onboarding and maintain employee records in ADP Workforce Now.
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
Assist with preparation of the annual operating budget
Monitor departmental budgets and spending
Analyze financial data to identify trends and budget variances
Compliance & Internal Controls
Ensure compliance with GAAP, accounting policies, and internal controls
Assist with annual audits and financial reporting for board and finance committee meetings
Help maintain procedures that safeguard club assets
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or private club operations
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with accounting systems such as Jonas, ADP Workforce Now, Beanworks, or similar platforms
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
