Job Description: Procurement AssistantOverview:The Procurement Assistant supports the sourcing, ordering, and tracking of goods and services essential to company operations. Working closely with the Senior Buyer/Procurement Coordinator, this role ensures accurate processing of purchase requests, maintains supplier communication, and upholds compliance with established purchasing procedures.Key Responsibilities:Assist in identifying and selecting suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost.Prepare and issue purchase orders based on production and quality requirements.Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information within procurement systems.Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, delivery schedules, and resolve discrepancies.Track pending orders, follow up on deliveries, and report delays or issues.Support supplier performance monitoring and document feedback.Ensure adherence to internal purchasing and credit-card procedures.Coordinate with accounting to provide necessary documentation for payments.Provide administrative support, including data entry, filing, and report preparation.Qualifications:Experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support preferred.Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Basic understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with procurement or ERP systems is a plus.Team-oriented mindset with the ability to support cross-functional operations.
