This role ensures the accurate and timely payment of employee wages, compliance with federal and state regulations, and effective management of payroll systems and staff. The Payroll Manager will collaborate closely with Human Resources, Finance, and other departments to ensure data integrity and seamless payroll operations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, including regular, overtime, union, and bonus payments.Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll, wage, tax, and hour laws.Maintain and update payroll systems to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.Process and file payroll tax reports, payments, and other compliance documents on schedule.Resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and benefits.Manage garnishments, benefit deductions, and special adjustments.Generate payroll reports for Finance, HR, and management use.Collaborate with HR and Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, and benefits administration.Provides support for all HRIS and payroll systems, including time and attendance.First point of contact/liaison for troubleshooting and system improvements with HRIS and payroll providers.Maintains and updates HRIS and payroll functions, processes, and procedures; Proactively ensures that the HRIS and payroll systems and processes are running smoothly and problem-free.Reviews the HRIS and payroll systems in place and develops strategies for improvement.
