What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Paralegal, Real Estate and Development position at VONDERS?
As the Senior Paralegal, Real Estate and Development, you will handle all incoming estoppel and subordination and non-disturbance requests from outside sources, as well as review and disburse correspondence relating to lease defaults, draft amendments, and provide lease analysis and interpretation. You will have a key role to ensure the growth of Chipotle’s business and real estate portfolio by ensuring that our stores get open, rental gets paid and deal flow continues to move forward. This is a high volume workflow position on a supportive and collaborative team, so a customer service focus is a must, as is a can-do attitude.

- Provide comprehensive legal guidance and counsel on leasing, development, and asset management activities to support the company’s real estate transactions.
- Collaborate with internal partners and external parties and their counsel to negotiate, agree and facilitate the successful execution and meticulous tracking of all legal documentation required until completion.
- Draft and prepare a variety of legal documents associated with real estate transactions, ensuring precision and clarity in all documentation.
- Coordinate the distribution, approval, and execution of legal documents, rigorously maintaining compliance with all key controls.
- Oversee the organization and maintenance of electronic lease documentation files to ensure ease of access and streamlined record-keeping.
- Identify and drive process improvements in internal workflows to enhance efficiency and operational effectiveness.
- 8 years of extensive work experience, including subject matter expertise relating to the financing, review and administration of restaurant (preferred) or retail leases.
- Paralegal Certificate
- High degree of proficiency with MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications and have experience with Tririga or similar lease system. Excellent customer-service orientation, high degree of professionalism, and ability to work with limited direction. Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning) and strong interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience handling confidential and sensitive information with the ability to exercise discretion and show good judgment; honesty, integrity and the ability to build trusted relationships is essential.
