The purpose of this role is to provide an extraordinary commitment to customer satisfaction and experience by delivering on our commitments. The Construction Services Technician will make decisions that demonstrate honesty, integrity, accountability and that promote the success of Avista. To be an active, supportive participant within the team is crucial to the success of this role. The chosen applicant will be expected to promote a high level of customer satisfaction through assistance in planning and installation of electric and gas services.

The Construction Services Technician will:

• Assist in the design and coordinate with the construction design representatives for the selection of proper materials for new construction, maintenance and replacement of damaged company facilities.
• Prepare or process job drawings, material lists and material requisitions.
• Answer customer inquiries as to construction standards, gas availability and costs, construction scheduling concerns, general questions and complaints
• Finish paperwork and ensure proper entries are made in internal systems, including completed metering data.
• Capture and report out on metrics.
• Provide data to Risk Management, Stores, Engineering and Finance Departments

Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and coordinate multiple projects and to work effectively with all parties involved
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a natural gas or electric distribution field
• Must possess strong computer skills and ability to learn computer application (GIS, AFM, Oracle, WMS, etc.)
• Preferred experience with electric design, GIS map reading

Pay Rate: $25.00-30.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
