System Engineer

Volt is immediately hiring for a Systems Engineer, MIDDLETOWN, Rhode Island

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support end to end systems development activities, from requirements definition through verification and system sell off.

• Establish and maintain the program’s requirements baseline within a requirements management database.
• Manage configuration control of the requirements database throughout the program lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross functional engineering leads to analyze, develop, and decompose Level 1 system requirements into detailed Level 2–4 requirements.
• Develop and execute the overall requirements verification strategy.
• Work closely with Design and Test teams to ensure validation and verification plans, procedures, and documentation meet system sell off requirements.
• Verify that performance and non performance requirements are met across the system.
• Lead system development activities, support troubleshooting, and assist in resolving technical issues.
• Engage and coordinate with customer engineers, scientists, and program leadership.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and written status reports.

This is a 12-month contract role

Clearance: Active Secret Clearance.

Ideal candidate will have:

• Prior experience in a technical leadership role (e.g., Lead Engineer, Senior Systems Engineer).
• Background in multi discipline system design, integration, and testing.
• Strong knowledge of requirements analysis, development, decomposition, and lifecycle maintenance.
• Hands on experience with requirements traceability matrices, configuration control boards (CCBs), and requirements management tools DOORS.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
• 7–14 years of relevant engineering experience.

Compensation:

$90 to $95/Hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
