Volt is immediately hiring for a Assembler in Gardena, CA.
As an Assembler you will:
- Assemble and disassemble gearboxes, accessory units, and driven equipment
- Perform complete rebuilds and overhauls of gearboxes and assemblies
- Set up and operate balancing machines to ensure components meet tolerance specifications
- Remove material as required to achieve proper balance
- Build complete gearbox systems before and after testing
- Interpret and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and written instructions
- Use a variety of hand tools, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Inspect parts for wear, damage, and compliance with specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Document work performed and report any issues or discrepancies
This is a Full-Time opportunity.
Schedule: Monday - Friday - 2pm to 10:30pm.
The ideal candidate will have:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- Experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, or repair (gearboxes or rotating equipment preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Familiarity with balancing equipment and machining processes is a plus
- Basic knowledge of turbomachinery or rotating equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Pay Rate: $22.00 $23.00 per hour DOE
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
